Privacy Policy

Effective October 6, 2026

Panku is an app for iPhone made by Rakaworks. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

The short version: Your friends, groups and expenses stay on your phone. There is no account, and the app does not send your data anywhere.

What stays on your device

Friends, groups, expenses, balances and any profile photos you add are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

What the app does not do

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Camera and photos

If you choose to add a profile photo for a friend, the app asks for camera or photo library access. The photo is saved on your phone and is never uploaded.

Contacts

When you add a friend from your contacts, iOS shows its own contact picker and shares only the contact you pick. The app does not read your address book.

Importing from Splitwise

If you import a Splitwise spreadsheet export, the file is read on your phone and turned into Panku groups. It is not sent anywhere.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Questions: [email protected]
